Tele2's senior exec departs

Tele2 has announced that Joachim Horn, its group chief technology information officer and EVP, will leave his role to join an unnamed telecoms company in Asia.

Prior to joining Tele2 in 2011, Horn was group CTO at India’s Bharti Airtel during 2009-2011. Before that, he was group CTO of T-Mobile International and also held various management positions at Siemens.

“Joachim has been a great asset to the company and an appreciated colleague during these years. I would personally like to thank him for his hard work and contributions to Tele2. I wish Joachim the best of luck in his coming endeavours,” said Mats Granryd, president and CEO of Tele2.

Niklas Sonkin, EVP of Central Europe and Eurasia, is stepping in as acting CTIO.
