Telstra achieves MEF CE 2.0 certification

Australia’s Telstra today revealed that it has been awarded Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) CE 2.0 certification for its Ethernet portfolio.

MEF CE 2.0 certification is the industry’s highest technical standard and Jim Clarke, director of marketing, products and pricing and Telstra Global Enterprise & Services, said that the accreditation demonstrates the company’s commitment to offering the highest level of technology standards.

“At Telstra we have complete confidence in our service quality, and this next level of certification across our international Ethernet product range reaffirms this,” Clarke said.

“Ultimately we strive for this level of certification so that our global customers can have guaranteed peace of mind on compatibility and ease of integration. With so many customers using our service as a component in a wider global IT environment, this seamless experience is critical.”

Last year, Romtelecom, Time Warner Cable, PCCW Global and HGC, among others, also received MEF certification.
