Q&A: Dora Mejia, NewCom International

Capacity talks with Dora Mejia, VP of sales and business development at NewCom International.

What are your strategic priorities in the Caribbean market for 2015?

NewCom International is a US-based global telecoms company that has serviced the Caribbean throughout the rapidly evolving telecoms changes of the past decade. We currently see two clear strategic priorities in this market: mobile backhaul and video content distribution.

What trends do you see emerging in the Caribbean market this year?

The Caribbean is an underserved market that is eager for added value. At NewCom International, we see this void as a huge opportunity for telecoms providers that can provide high-speed mobile internet access and fill the demand for content and mobility solutions.

What do you hope to achieve by attending Capacity Caribbean 2015?

NewCom International has the expertise and resources to support local service providers interested in increasing their ARPU by adding value to their connectivity service via a robust video content offering, and expanding their mobility solutions and coverage in remote locations throughout the Caribbean.
