China Telecom cloud unit partners with Nuage Networks

China Telecom’s cloud computing branch, CTCC, has partnered with Alcatel-Lucent’s Nuage Networks for the delivery of public cloud services via the solution provider’s SDN technology.

CTCC is one of the largest cloud computing service providers in the country, and it will utilise Nuage Networks’ virtualised services platform (VSP) to provide secure, scalable and self-service public cloud services in China.

“We are pleased that Nuage Networks has helped us to achieve scalability in our cloud infrastructure and improve the availability of the services,” said Guang Xiaoming, CTO at CTTC.

“We can now offer customers self-serve public cloud services in a more secure and dynamic way, giving them services that are tailored to meet their unique business requirements.”

Nuage Networks will also address CTCC’s network security requirements, helping to protect customers from the impact of DDoS attacks.

“We are excited to work with CTCC in support of their public cloud implementation,” said Sunil Khandekar, CEO at Nuage Networks.

“CTCC’s customers deserve instant access to public cloud services that are supported by a network that is capable of responding to their changing needs, and the full range of applications that they require and depend on to power their businesses.”
