PEG Bandwidth activates 2,000th cell site

Infrastructure solutions provider PEG Bandwidth has announced the activation of backhaul services at its 2,000th cell site.

The announcement comes less than four years after the delivery of its first fibre-based backhaul service to a cell site in Dallas, Texas

“We are excited about the delivery of our 2,000th cell site as we continue to solve our customers’ most difficult network challenges,” said Michael Friloux, president and COO at PEG Bandwidth.

“We look forward to expanding our infrastructure solutions in 2015 to support the insatiable demand for high-speed data,” he added.

The company is looking to leverage its fibre network in a bid to expand its mobile operator customer base. Last May, Global Capacity signed a wholesale agreement with PEG for the delivery of enhanced connectivity to markets in the US.
