Axiom launches dark fibre service in New York

Axiom Fiber Networks officially launched its dark fibre services to enterprise and carrier customers in the New York metropolitan area in mid-January.




Led by telecoms industry veteran Felipe Alvarez, the company began operations in late 2014 and will initially focus on key traffic interexchanges in New York City. 


Deployment of the 20-mile, 864-strand core network is due to completed by Q2 2015 and aims to connect to multiple carrier hotels.  


“We have assembled a proven leadership team that offers a deep understanding of the complexities of deploying and operating a successful telecommunications network infrastructure, and that shares a common passion for customer focus and customer service,” said Alvarez.
