BICS claims outstanding growth in LTE roaming in 2014

BICS claims it has seen a rapid increase in the number of operators deploying LTE roaming, after expanding its LTE roaming capabilities by 70% in 2014.

Its LTE roaming service is available in 75 countries and is said to have experienced adoption in new markets, such as Russia, South Africa, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Poland and Rwanda.

“The growth in the number of networks offering LTE roaming services last year was astounding,” said Mikaël Schachne, vice president of mobile data business at BICS. “We can now expect carriers to begin utilising the whole spectrum of services enabled by IPX, including deploying next generation voice services and value added packages for subscribers, to further enhance services for their own customers and incoming roamers.”
