Vodafone is set to expand its presence in sub-Saharan Africa following an agreement with 4G operator Afrimax.
Under the strategic framework
agreement, the two companies will explore market opportunities
across the region, with the aim of offering voice and data
products under the Vodafone Uganda brand.
The move is expected to also support Vodafone’s enterprise
customers in the region.
"Uganda is an attractive market and we are delighted to welcome
Afrimax to our successful Partner Markets community, which
already operates in more than fifty countries. We look forward
to exploring the potential for further Partner Market
agreements in sub-Saharan Africa with Afrimax, under our
framework cooperation agreement," said Vodafone Partner Markets
CEO Stefano Gastaut.
