The facility is aimed at developing technologies and services for Telecom Italia’s consumer and enterprise customers in both the fixed and mobile segments.
The move builds on an existing strategic collaboration between the two companies, tightening the focus on customer experience and time to market for new service proposals.
“This major agreement with Huawei will relaunch our reciprocal commitment to create centres of excellence for technological innovation, with the aim of creating new service models. This is an initiative that will contribute to enhance the value of Telecom Italia's path to stimulate growth in Italy, also thanks to our investments to develop latest generation network infrastructures throughout the country,” said Marco Patuano, CEO at Telecom Italia.
