Nokia Networks appoints EVP of services business

Nokia Networks has appointed Igor Leprince as executive vice president (EVP) of global services at the company.

Leprince’s role came into effect on November 4 and he will report directly into Rajeev Suri, president and CEO of the Finnish vendor.

Leprince leaves his position as SVP and head of Middle East and Africa (MEA) at Nokia Networks for the new role, but will retain his responsibilities until a successor has been appointed.

“Igor has a strong track record in specific services businesses and in driving the Networks business as a whole in Middle East and Africa,” Suri said. “I am confident he is the right person to take our excellent services business to a position of increased strength.”

During his existing tenure at the company, Leprince has overseen the deployment of mobile broadband across MEA with leading operators in the region, and his new role will see him manage this on a global scale.
