TTI joins AMS-IX partner programme

Capacity Europe day 2 – Türk Telekom International (TTI) has today announced that it has joined the AMS-IX partner programme, as it moves to increase its presence and services in western Europe.

TTI is now an official AMS-IX reseller and is able to resell AMS-IX ports anywhere it has infrastructure connected to the AMS-IX co-locations in Amsterdam.

“Becoming an active participant of the AMS-IX partner programme provides vast added value to our existing services in the region and is part of a continual effort by TTI to bring the best offerings to our customers,” said Cengiz Oztelcan, CEO at TTI. “TTI’s bridging position between Western Europe and the Middle East will be even stronger with the AMS-IX partnership. Working with AMS-IX allows TTI to maintain its leadership position in a very competitive industry.”

TTI’s customers include incumbents, alternative carriers, mobile operators, cable players, ISPs and corporate customers, and the company is now certified to offer the AMS-IX service remotely to these customers, with increased peering benefits.

Mark Cooper, CCO at AMS-IX, said that continuous growth is what defines the value of an internet exchange, and the partner programme helps AMS-IX to achieve this.

“We believe Türk Telekom International can help us to expand and enhance our international and diverse internet community,” Cooper said.

“Türk Telekom International’s technical excellence, good service and customer care reputation is also in line with our values.”

Both AMS-IX and TTI have been shortlisted in a number of categories – including best African project and best Middle Eastern project, respectively – for this evening’s Global Carrier Awards 2014, in Amsterdam.
