Dimension Data launches managed cloud services

ICT services and solutions provider Dimension Data has launched managed cloud services via its G-Cloud platform.

The services will be made available on a pay-as-you-go basis through both public and private cloud offerings.

The move targets public-sector bodies and is designed to enable them to easily scale their use of the service according to the changing needs of a business and its users. It also claims that the services can accelerate time to market with new products and services, while keeping costs down.

Coinciding with the move, the company has also appointed Simon Haydn-Lee as head of public sector, who will be responsible for the strategic direction and growth of the group’s UK public-sector business.

Haydn-Lee previously served as head of public sector at NextiraOne, which Dimension Data acquired in February this year.

“I’m looking forward to leveraging the latest global technology trends to unlock innovation, and deliver effective services and solutions that will help our public sector clients simplify their IT estates, drive cost efficiencies, and create greater business value,” said Haydn-Lee.
