SingTel and FireEye partner in cybersecurity space

SingTel has announced a partnership with security firm FireEye to enhance the cybersecurity ecosystem across Asia-Pacific.

The partnership is designed to cover a range of initiatives, including investment in new Advanced Security Operation Centres (ASOCs) in Singapore and Australia, in addition to the launch of a new SingTel Managed Defence solution powered by FireEye in Asia-Pacific.

The companies will also build up cybersecurity expertise, including the training of up to 150 professionals in operating the ASOCs, and set up new data stores in the region.

“This is a groundbreaking collaboration to enhance the cybersecurity ecosystem in the region,” said Bill Chang, SingTel’s CEO of group enterprise. “We are combing FireEye’s best-of-breed managed defence capabilities and SingTel’s leadership in ICT services and infrastructure in Asia-Pacific.”

The move is designed to help enterprises better manage the increasing challenges of a new generation of cyberattacks, and SingTel said it aims to increase knowledge and awareness in the region.
