Interlink Telecom partners with Alcatel-Lucent in Thailand

Thailand’s Interlink Telecom has selected Alcatel-Lucent for the vendor to apply its Agile Optical Networking solutions to its network.

The country’s leading broadband provider has installed its network across major railways and road routes across the country, intended to connect to neighbouring countries Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Malaysia.

Alcatel-Lucent is deploying its DWDM solution and its PSS platform integrated with Wavelength Tracker technology.

This will give Interlink Telecom an integrated view across its network, making it easier to monitor performance and identify problem areas, as network speeds and capacity increases.

The company will also be able to offer 100Gbps and enable the Thai operator to support data demands of customers, including mobile operators, enterprises, ISPs, banks and governments.

This is phase one of the vendor’s project, being launched this month, and covers 42 stations across Thailand’s eastern and southern regions.
