LIME upgrades Caribbean network

Cable&Wireless’ Caribbean arm LIME is upgrading its network in St. Kitts and Nevis as part of Project Marlin, a $1.05 billion capital investment programme.

LIME will invest an estimated $10 million on the upgrade, and a further $4.5 million to expand 4G coverage and improve mobile data speeds across the islands.

“We will work closely with the people and government of St. Kitts and Nevis to deliver the national vision for greater broadband penetration,” said Phil Bentley, CEO at Cable&Wireless.

“We remain committed to deliver network improvements, superior customer service and more product innovation to fuel the wheels of the industry.”

A final investment of $5.4 million will be spent in upgrading broadband services across the islands and in April last year, LIME launched pay-TV services in the Cayman Islands.
