China Mobile names Nokia Networks as its best TD-LTE vendor

China Mobile has named Nokia Networks as having the best network performance for all its TD-LTE vendor deployments in major cities across the country.

The operator conducted a rigorous evaluation programme of all its vendor deployments and the results showed that Nokia Networks outperformed other vendors to provide the best network performance and the fastest network implementation, measured across the top 10 provincial capitals.

Nokia Networks first deployed a TD-LTE network in the city of Fuzhou, and China Mobile said it achieved excellent quality based on performance metrics including network coverage, interference levels and voice and data quality.

“The China Mobile study proves that Nokia Networks is providing best-in-class network performance in commercial TD-LTE networks,” said Xue Rui, head of delivery of Greater China region at Nokia Networks. “We are delighted to offer China Mobile top network quality for an unmatched customer experience and a seamless roll-out that translates to fast availability of user services.”

Nokia Networks deploys TD-LTE technology to 18 out of 31 provinces for China Mobile.
