CSG extends Comcast partnership

CSG Systems International has extended its partnership to provide residential billing services to Comcast Cable in the US.

Building on an existing contract – in which CSG provides its billing solution to approximately two thirds of Comcast’s residential customers – Comcast will migrate a further 2.3 million residential customers on to the CSG billing solution in early 2015. There is also an option to add further customers as part of any future consolidation to the residential business.

“As we continue to innovate and bring new products and services to market, we want to make it easier for customers to interact with us,” said Scott Alcott, chief information officer for Comcast Cable.

“CSG has been a great partner and this new agreement will help us provide more consistent customer interactions by creating opportunities to standardise and streamline our back-office operations,” he added.

Meanwhile, CSG has also posted its Q2 results, recording total revenues of $184.6 million. During the quarter it signed a multi-year agreement with MTN South Africa to provide its end-to-end management of the operator’s wholesale billing and business service platforms.

It also provided its Singleview platform to 10 countries in Africa as part of a partnership with an undisclosed mobile operator.
