Belgacom to use JDSU for network optimisation

Network optimisation firm JDSU has partnered with Belgian operator Belgacom to improve 2G, 3G and 4G networks across the country.

Belgacom will deploy US-based JDSU’s optimisation solution, the ariesoGEO platform, across its network.

“Belgacom is looking forward to leveraging the ariesoGEO platform to plan and optimise our 2G, 3G and LTE networks. ariesoGEO has a strong reputation as a robust and reliable platform that will allow us to consolidate our solutions under one system and offer an exceptional customer experience,” said Belgacom.

The operator said that its decision to partner with JDSU was driven by the ease of use and flexibility of the platform.

“We are delighted that Belgacom has recognised that the network-wide implementation of the ariesoGEO platform will ensure both multi-layer network optimisation and scalable services such as VIP troubleshooting and planning,” said Shirin Dehghan, GM of the location intelligence business unit in the network and service enablement business segment at JDSU.

Last month, JDSU announced its acquisition of Trendium, a real-time intelligence software provider.
