Deutsche Telekom launches tailored services programme for SMEs

Deutsche Telekom has launched a new programme of services aimed at strengthening SMEs in Germany.

The campaign is based on DT’s new integrated product portfolio, which increased the number of integrated products and cloud solutions.

DT has deployed a new IT reselling model which offers tailored services to SMEs for IT and cloud. The model bundles services from different partners into an offer from a single provider.

The first services to be offered on the basis of the new model are the DeutschlandLAN PBX, which is a computing service from the cloud based on VMware.

“The object of the SME campaign is to make firms in Germany fit for global competition in the areas of IT and telecommunications,” said Dirk Backofen, head of business customer marketing at Telekom Deutschland. “SMEs are, for us, a mainstay of the German economy. Our plan is to support these firms as they progress into the digital world of cloud and IT."

The first new partners are Isec7, Spirit/21, Unilab, Synergy Systems and DMRZ (Deutsches Mittelstands Rechenzentrum). Deutsche Telekom expects the number of programme partners to increase to 30 by the end of this year.
