Telekom Slovenia eyes Bosnian acquisitions

Telekom Slovenia is looking to grow its presence in Bosnia through a number of strategic acquisitions, Reuters reports.

Rudolf Skobe, CEO at Telekom Slovenia, told reporters that the company is aiming “to become the number-one alternative service provider” in Bosnia, through several acquisition opportunities.

No further details were revealed, but the company’s net profit grew 17% last year to €52.3 million, while revenue rose 0.5% to €799.2 million.

This rise is thought to be a result of increased cost control from Telekom Slovenia – which is in discussions over its privatisation – and the company forecasts further growth in 2014 as it expands into areas like Bosnia.

In January this year the Slovenian government announced details of its 4G spectrum auction, set for March 2014.
