Sawhny previously worked with Bharti Airtel for over ten years in various roles, including as a member of Bharti Airtel’s management board, joint president for Airtel enterprise business, executive director and CEO of Airtel Mobility, and president and COO of Bharti Retail.
The announcement follows former Pacnet chief William Barney’s appointment as CEO of Reliance’s three offshore businesses.
Reliance separately revealed it has lifted its third quarter net profit by 2.7% to $17.3 million, mainly due to strong mobile data growth.
