LDeX merges with Ping Networks

The UK-based data centre and network operator London Data Exchange (LDeX) has merged with Ping Networks to form LDeX Group.

The new entity will be focussed primarily on co-location services and intelligent networks. Its creation is said to offer further financial strength in order to better serve existing and new customers, as well as expand its data centre footprint and IP network across multiple regions.

“By combining our in-house talent, we are better placed to serve our growing customers’ needs going forward. Our ability to link people, places and clouds has been boosted significantly with the flexible service creation capability that the combined group can now offer to the market,” said Rob Garbutt, CEO & co-founder of LDeX Group.

Last July, LDeX announced an additional 500kW of customer power and associated infrastructure at its LDex1 data centre in London. As well as co-location solutions, LDeX is said to deliver a range of network services, including IP Transit, Layer 2 and MPLS solutions.
