Deutsche Telekom ICSS and VimpelCom announce IPX partnership

Deutsche Telekom ICSS and VimpelCom have announced a partnership to enable the seamless interconnection of their respective IPX networks.

VimpelCom operates under the mobile brand Beeline, and the company has selected Deutsche Telekom ICSS to complement the company’s IPX portfolio.

VimpelCom was particularly attracted to Deutsche Telekom’s large number of partner contracts and mobile operator interconnections, including T-Mobile’s global reach.

“We chose to work with Deutsche Telekom ICSS due to its rich experience in the mobile world in general and in IPX in particular, its large customer base, wide coverage and high quality,” said Andrey Azhigirov, carrier services and roaming director at OJSC VimpelCom.

IPX serves as a next-generation network service for the transfer of various IP-based services between operators and different types of service providers internationally and domestically.

Through its IPX interconnection with Deutsche Telekom, Beeline claims it has the technical ability to connect to other operators faster, with enhanced QoS.
