Amdocs acquires Celcite Management Solutions

Unified communications provider Amdocs has entered an agreement to acquire Celcite Management Solutions for approximately $129 million in cash.

The move aims to expand the company’s presence in the network software market, enabling it to manage customer experience across both networks and IT.

It builds on the company’s recent $120 million acquisition of Actix, one of the largest independent software providers in mobile optimisation.

By combining Actix’s products with Celcite’s network management and Self-Optimising Networks (SON) services, Amdocs hopes to offer service providers equipment-agnostic optimisation solutions.

“Together, Amdocs, Celcite and Actix will emerge as the preferred provider of network management and SON solutions to service providers worldwide,” said Rahul Sharma, founder and CEO at Celcite.

“With the combination of our people, assets, and product/services expertise, we will offer unmatched end-to-end offerings to relieve customers’ core network challenges, including capacity and roll-out, and help them tie the customer experience to the network in real-time.”

The deal is expected to be finalised in Amdocs’ current first fiscal quarter, or at the beginning of the second fiscal quarter.
