Ooredoo mulls over London Stock Exchange listing

Qatari operator Ooredoo is said to be considering listing on the London Stock Exchange or another major bourse, as it looks to heighten its international profile.

The company’s CEO Nasser Marafih told Reuters that it had been exploring listings outside of the Gulf because “one of the issues is the liquidity of the shares”.

The company is said to not yet have a specific date or plan in place, however.

Ooredoo rebranded from Qatar Telecom in February and has operations in 15 markets across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. It is already listed on the Qatar Exchange.
