Level 3 launches cloud-based video conferencing solution

Level 3 Communications has launched a new cloud-based video conferencing solution.

The move is designed to boost productivity and improve services for enterprise customers through enhanced collaboration.

US-based Level 3 is working with Blue Jeans Network, a video conferencing company, with the new services designed to work across any video platform, while remove traditional barriers facing the market for these types of solutions.

Level 3’s cloud offering aims to make the service more simple and seamless, while aiding increasing demands for integrated video conferencing services, which include telepresence and video applications for mobile.

"The rapid emergence of personal video capabilities among internet-connected desktop and mobile devices, coupled with the increasing enterprise demand for traditional video-conferencing capabilities, has created a new and unique market for an 'any-to-any,' ubiquitous video conferencing service," said Bruno Zerbib, Level 3's VP of product management.

The new service operates without dedicated IT staff, and Level 3 that there is a significant cost reduction compared to rivaling products in the market.

“Accessible video collaboration services provide customers with a level of flexibility and interoperability that needs to be the new standard of enterprise communications," said Krish Ramakrishnan, CEO and co-founder of Blue Jeans Network.
