Main One connects south west Nigeria

African service provider Main One has launched enterprise and connectivity solutions in south west Nigeria.

Main One’s extension in the region is a response to the growing demand from enterprises for more reliable connectivity solutions and VPN, as well as increased concern over security.

“Most multinational and businesses enterprises are increasingly looking for growth opportunities in the south west states,” said Bolanle Ogundogba, head of sales for Main One Nigeria, at the Business Connectivity event in Ibadan, where the services were launched.

Ogundogba noted the growing number of educational institutions in the region, which, he believes, provides Main One with an opportunity to deliver more scalable solutions, and “ensure its reliable connectivity keeps the organisation at pace with the speed of business transformation, and also paves the way for future growth”.

The services are designed to support its customers in the Nigeria, and Main One has partnered with Phase 3 Telecoms for the services.

Otuya Okecha, head of business solutions and sales at Phase 3 Telecoms, said: “With connectivity from Main One and Phase 3, MDAs, ISPs, educational institutions, corporate organisations and other businesses in Ibadan will have immediate access to high capacity broadband internet services, delivered through a connection to a global IP backbone and integrated fibre network.”

Main One joined the International Data Centre Alliance in October last year, with the intention of increasing data centre coverage in Nigeria.
