euNetworks signs deal with air transport communications specialist

euNetworks has signed a multi-year deal with air transport communications and IT provider SITA Airport IT to deliver Ethernet-based connectivity between a number of its key sites.

The deal will see euNetworks connect a SITA site in Dusseldorf to a data centre located in the Rhein-Main area in Germany.

SITA has identified the need to increase its redundancy, with euNetworks being one of two operators providing connectivity for the project.

"In order to also provide our services to customers outside the Dusseldorf area, a reliable connection to a core data centre near Frankfurt am Main is fundamental. The new solution we have in place with euNetworks provides us with the necessary redundancy, data security and access to a team of technical experts we can call on as our bandwidth needs scale,” said Joachim Brandt, head of sales and marketing, SITA Airport IT.

In May, euNetworks announced an agreement with IP and transport based service Hudson Fiber Network (HFN) to provide its euTrade service portfolioto the company, and earlier that month also launched a diverse route from London to Basildon in the UK.
