The Italian operator’s fixed-line network has been subject to speculation of a spin-off, and its board will meet this week to decide on the matter.
A spin-off project would see the company inject its fixed-line access network assets and move a portion of its debt into the newly created company.
The move could take approximately 18 months to complete, according to Reuters.
