24/7 Mid-Atlantic Network pens data centre deal with CoreSite

24/7 Mid-Atlantic Network has signed an agreement with CoreSite to extend its dark fibre backbone into the US data centre provider’s DC1 facility in Washington.

The agreement is expected to provide CoreSite customers with extended interconnectivity opportunities to carriers and service providers.

“[The] agreement with 24/7 expands the interconnection choices that we deliver to our customers and enables them to extend their reach and expand business opportunities throughout the US Mid-Atlantic region," said Jarrett Appleby, COO at CoreSite.

24/7 customers are hoped to benefit from greater connectivity through the CoreSite Mesh cloud community which Appleby says is a critical part CoreSite’s offering.

“We have been working closely with CoreSite to ensure that our presence at DC1 provides our customers with the most diverse and optimal interconnectivity options possible,” said Christopher Morris, president and COO at 24/7 Mid-Atlantic Network.

“Our strategic relationship with CoreSite will enable our customers to significantly expand their reach throughout our network footprint and gain access to CoreSite’s Mesh community.”

In January this year, CoreSite announced it is set to launch a data centre campus in New Jersey.
