Interoute announces 12% top line revenue growth

European cloud operator Interoute has announced a 12% increase in top line revenues for 2012, a €410 million rise from 2011.

According to the company, the growth indicates continued strength in enterprise cloud and computing services, which grew 28% from 2011, and a further 12.5% increase in demand for pan-European network services.

“Interoute’s cloud and network services combine to provide an integrated platform that brings our customers real benefits,” said Gareth Williams, CEO at Interoute. “The network provides reach, speed and security at a very competitive cost and enables the cloud to be as private or as public as our customers need. The cloud benefits from the availability, redundancy and high capacity of the network, with customers gaining benefits such as free data transit between Interoute Virtual Data Centres (VDC).”

Interoute grew its cloud portfolio last year by introducing its VDC platform, built into the company’s pan-European and data centre platform. Its wholesale business also grew, to 7.6% in 2012, driven by the demand for high capacity bandwidth from service providers, carriers and mobile operators.

The company said its partnership with Turkcell Superonline further added network diversity, particularly in Istanbul, which is proving an accelerating business hub locally and internationally.
