ViaWest appoints Nancy Phillips as CEO

US cloud and co-location provider ViaWest has appointed Nancy Phillips as CEO, effective immediately.

Phillips, who was previously COO and co-founder of the company, will replace her fellow co-founder Roy Dimoff. He will continue in his role as chairman of the board.

Phillips and Dimoff have been business partners for 26 years and founded ViaWest in 1999.

“After almost 14 years as ViaWest’s CEO, I have decided it is the right time to transition full executive responsibility to my long-time business partner and co-founder, Nancy Phillips,” said Dimoff.

“Together we have built a tremendous organisation that, I am proud to say, has established a long track record of success. Nancy is the best person to build on ViaWest’s strong foundation, and I have the utmost confidence that the company will continue to thrive under her executive leadership.”

Phillips steps into the role during a period of strong company and industry growth, according to ViaWest.

“We have the right strategy, momentum in our markets, high-calibre employees, strong leadership and a tremendous reputation for customer service and product innovation. I look forward to leading the company as we continue to seize the opportunities ahead and build for the future,” said Phillips.
