Syniverse launches LTE hub

US technology service provider Syniverse has announced the launch of its LTE hub to cope with increasing end user demands for bandwidth and next-generation services.

Syniverse claims its LTE hub will give operators rapid access to LTE and IP multimedia interoperability required for 4G voice and data roaming. It is expected many operators will be required to build out advanced infrastructure networks to cope with long-term demands for advanced capabilities.

“Around the globe, operators are making tremendous progress rolling out LTE networks,” said Jeff Gordon, president and CEO at Syniverse. “For end users, the most important factor is that these networks interoperate with each other and interwork with supporting Wifi and legacy cellular networks to offer the ubiquitous coverage to which mobile users have become accustomed.”

The LTE hub is designed to tap into the company’s IPX solution and provides carrier connection via a global all-IP network, enabling specifications required for LTE connection. The network connection is expected to link over 80 operators worldwide, giving operators access to Syniverse’s other 4G capabilities.

The company focussed on the complexity of 4G roaming and interworking as a reason why operators should take a strategic approach to end-user experience. “It’s critical for operators to maximise back end efficiencies,” added Gordon.

In addition to customer experience protection, Syniverse’s solution also offers advanced video and messaging support and next-generation clearing and settlement.
