Walid Irshaid has been elected as the new vice chairman of the board of directors at the SAMENA Telecommunications Council. The new role will see him support the council’s relationship-building efforts across south Asia, Middle East and north Africa. Irshaid has over 30 years of professional experience in the regions concerned. He has served in international positions at Etisalat, Datanet, Paltel and FLAG.
“SAMENA is making strides on multiple fronts that are of interest to our membership, and Irshaid’s leadership in ICT are precisely what our membership will gain from,” said the council’s chief executive and executive managing director Tom Wilson.
